Class Topics In the first semester we will learn about many cultures in order to strengthen intercultural sensitivity. We will study our own cultures as well as others using a cultural anthropological approach. We will also examine how and when all the different approaches to life can come into conflict. In the second semester, we will look at how all the different cultures interact globally. What does it mean when environment, economy, other resources, and problems are shared collectively? What does it mean to be a local or global citizen? In the latter half of the semester we will exercise our personal voices through public (video) projects. Requirements: In this class, you will make your own website portfolio on Weebly where you will post all your assignments and projects for the semester. This blog will then be graded as a portfolio. 1) Content-Specific-details, example from your life or current events in the news 2) Clarity-meaning expressed well and communication are effectively shared 3) Creativity (unique ideas, style, and voice), 4) Correct (minimal grammar or word choice errors) Schoology App: With the Schoology app (which is similar to facebook), students will be able to follow their grades and attendance (days missed and lates) over the semester and communicate with each other and the teacher Every student must join the course in the first week using their email and code the teacher gives students. The teacher will give you the class code, and you need to set the notifications for teacher's updates, student posts and comments to send you an email notice. The code is......
